Title: Slimming: diet composition and physical exercise/Emagrecimento: composicao da dieta e exercicio fisico
Abstract :

The objective of this bibliographical rising was analyzing the effectiveness of diet composition and type of physical exercises in the control of the corporal weight. For this study there selected 32 articles about the influence of different types of diet and physical exercise in weight loss. Except for one study (in animals), the remainder examined individuals of the both sexes with average age of 38.5 years. The proportion of macronutrients in diet can interfere directly in the energy homeostase, leading to changes in energy intake, energy metabolism, oxidation pathway and diet-induced thermogenesis. About this, the high-protein diet proceed to be the most thermogenic, when compared to high-lipid diet and high-carbohydrate diet, is also the most satiating among the others. The studies also showed that the physical exercise is an mechanism efficient that contributes in the reduction of corporal weight, allied the other health habits. Despite the controversies reganding the intensity and duration of ideal exercise to reducing the weight, the studies directed to more intense exercise have proved most effective in controlling body weight, since in addition to contributing to reducing the fat percentage, favored the increase and/or maintenance of lean mass. There are still discrepancies between the studies, because of methodological differences applied as: characteristics of the sample, exposure time to diet, intensity and duration of the exercise. It is suggested the holding of other studies more controlled, but according to the analysis is valid to conclude that anaerobic exercises and diets rich in protein impacting positively on reducing the weight Key Words: macronutrient, diet, exercise, slimming. O objetivo deste levantamento bibliografico foi analisar a efetividade da composicao da dieta e dos tipos de exercicios fisicos no controle do peso corporal. Para este estudo foram selecionados 32 artigos sobre influencia dos diferentes tipos de dieta e de exercicio fisico no emagrecimento. Excetuando-se por um estudo (em animais), o restante analisou individuos de ambos os generos com faixa etaria media de 38,5 anos. A proporcao dos macronutrientes na dieta pode interferir diretamente na homeostase energetica, levando a alteracoes na ingestao calorica, metabolismo energetico, via de oxidacao e termogenese induzida pela dieta. A respeito disso, a dieta hiperproteica demonstrou ser a mais termogenica quando comparada as dietas hiperglicidas e hiperlipidicas, sendo tambem a dieta mais saciatoria dentre as outras. Os estudos demonstraram tambem que o exercicio fisico e um mecanismo eficiente que contribui na reducao do peso corporal, aliado a outros habitos saudaveis. Apesar das controversias em relacao a intensidade e duracao do exercicio ideal para reducao do peso, os estudos direcionados para exercicios mais intensos demonstraram ser mais eficientes no controle do peso corporal, pois alem de contribuir para reducao da porcentagem de gordura corporal favoreceu o aumento e/ou manutencao da massa magra. Ainda ha discrepancias entre os estudos, devido as diferencas metodologicas aplicadas como: caracteristicas da amostra, tempo de exposicao a dieta, intensidade e duracao do exercicio. Sugere-se a realizacao de outros estudos mais controlados, mas de acordo com a analise e valido concluir que exercicios anaerobios e dietas ricas em proteinas influem positivamente na reducao do peso.
