    • A single formatted citation appears in the Citation window when you are viewing a document. When viewing your Saved Documents, citations for all of your saved items appear.
  3. The MLA 7th Edition tab is active, which displays the citation formatted using the Modern Language Association style. To view the citation formatted using the American Psychological Association style, click the APA 6th Edition tab.
    • To download the citation(s) to an HTML file, click Download. Depending on your browser's settings, you may be prompted to save or open the file, or your browser may automatically save the file to your downloaded file location.
    • To print the formatted citation, first download the citation(s), and then open the HTML file. Use your browser's Print function to print the page.
    • You can also copy the citation data. Click Select and the citation(s) will be highlighted (selected), ready for you to copy and paste it into another application.

Disclaimer. While the data elements for the dynamically generated citations have been formatted to meet the latest citation standards set forth by the respective agencies, these citations provide the available publication data for the document cited and should only serve as a guide and not as a replacement for the latest guidebooks – or those required by your instructor. To view sample citations, click the provided MLA example and APA example links. Consult your instructor for the specific bibliographic style preferences required of your written work.
