You can display a history of the searches you've conducted during your current session and modify the search query or re-run it to view its results.
Some database collections provide a Previous Searches icon on the toolbar (found in the banner area at the top of the page). In other database collections you will find instead a Search History link in the sidebar tools box.
From the list of prior searches, the most recent search, known as a result set, is at the top of the list with a maximum of 50 result sets displayed. The Previous Searches / Search History link will only appear once you have performed a search.
To re-execute a search from the list, click the hyperlinked search expression. The results list will be displayed.
To modify a search, click the Revise link. You will be taken the appropriate search input page and your search terms will be automatically re-displayed. You can then change the search as needed.
Here is a sample list of previous searches:

The list of previous searches is automatically cleared when you exit out of the session. You may also clear the list by clicking the Clear button.
| Note: Browse-only operations, such as browsing an Advanced Search index, are not recorded. Searches of an online dictionary (where available) from within the product are also not included. Note to users of State Papers Online: Browsing the Manuscripts and the Calendars is recorded in your search history. |
