What are Tabs?

When your search yields results from diverse types of sources, you'll see your results organized into tabs. Tabs group the information found in this database into similar types of sources and documents. Many databases offer a variety of tabs, although not every tab may contain items, depending on your actual search results. Tabs with no results are "grayed out" and will not work. Note that when a search returns only one kind of result (such as all reference material documents), you will find all your results listed on a single tab.

After the tab name you'll find in parentheses a count of the number of results found for that tab. The tab bar may also contain ways to limit your results (or expand results that have limiters imposed). To the far right on the tab bar you'll find the Sort by drop-down list, which allows you to rearrange your results in a different order.

A sample tab bar is shown below. Keep in mind that the tab names and order of display vary by database collection.
