Environmental Issues Protests

A protest is an action, often in the form of public gathering, online activism, or some form of expression (e.g., writing, song, poetry, etc.) intended to express disdain for laws, policies, actions, and ideas. While gatherings in support of causes or ideas are also common, they are typically not labeled as a form of protest. A demonstration (in French, a "manifestation"), for example, may be for or against a policy. There is a wide global diversity in both the causes for, and nature of, protest.
