Fahrenheit 451 is a 1953 dystopian novel written by American author Ray Bradbury (1920–2012). The novel follows a man named Guy Montag, who works for a fire squad tasked with burning books in his city. In this dystopian world, book reading is illegal and all books discovered are destroyed while book readers are punished. Guy does not question this world until he meets a young girl named Clarisse, who asks many questions Guy has never thought about before.
